All foreign nationals are required to have business
or tourist visas to enter the Republic of Uzbekistan.
To obtain the tourist visa, all foreign nationals,
except:
- USA
- France
- Italy
- Belgium
- Great Britain
- Ireland
- Japan
- Germany
- Austrian
- Spain
- Switzerland
citizens, need a visa support or visa invitation
from one of the authorized independent travel agencies.
What you need to do to any Uzbek
embassy to apply for visa
1. Send us via fax or e- mail the following
info:
- First name
- Last name
- Gender
- Citizenship
- Date Of Birth
- Place Of Birth
- Passport Number
- Date of issue passport
- Date of expiration passport
- Employer
- Position
- Address and phone number of working place
- Country (city) where you wish to obtain your
visa
- Date of arrival
- Date of departure
- Cities to be visited
- Purpose of visit to Uzbekistan
- Previous visits to Uzbekistan
- Fax to send copy of visa invitation
- E-mail address for communications
2. We submit your info with visa support
application to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The approval period is about 7-10 business days.
3. Ministry, based on your info, fax approved
visa support directly to the embassy or
consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the country
where you will receive visa.
4. Download your visa application from
the website of
Uzbekistan Embassies or Consulates abroad of
Your choice.
5. Fill in 2 hand copies and
send them to the Uzbekistan Embassies or Consulate
of your choice together with your:
- register number of visa support
- valid passport
- 2 passport-size photo
- fee, payable on collection of visa
Independent travelers need to arrange their visas
themselves. This can be a time-consuming process
and the easiest option would be to pay your travel
agency to get a visa for you. Alternatively, you
may go in person to Uzbek Embassies or Consulates
abroad.
Also, you can get a pre-arranged visa at the International
Lounge of the Tashkent Airport, when arriving from
a country where there is no Uzbek diplomatic representation.

Transit Visa
In the case of a transit via Uzbekistan,
while traveling to a third country, including Russia,
Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan,
all visitors must have transit visa issued beforehand
by an n Uzbekistan Embassy or General Consulate
abroad. Transit visa are issued for a period of
up to 72 hours.
